I think the person made some very good, legitimate points. Yeah, Defiance doesn’t have all that realistic aliens, but neither does Dr. Who or Star Trek or most Sci Fi shows. It’s just difficult with budget and function. At least with Defiance, the makeup is very good and the characters are consistent. Also, I’d like to add that I don’t think they were hostile at all, just honest.

Perhaps a bit rude if anything but otherwise they had a point.

I’m broke. I doubt I can even get a job. There is just about no food left and we’re barely about to make rent. Times like these make me feel like I can’t afford to hate people. But right now, I can’t help but feel like I hate everyone but Alice. My family complains about money and then discusses buying new outdoor grills to go along with their completely stocked pantries and large beautiful homes with clean clothes for close to free as casually as if they were dropping a penny in a homeless person’s hat while walking by, all while at a fine dining restaurant where every meal is pretty much $20 or more for a casual get together and I feel out of place with a mohawk, shorts and a dirty button-up. Some of them drove brand new cars to this meeting, one car that I helped them get in exchange for their old one and an amount of money that was wrung out of me like I was a dirty fucking towel after I had told them my budget couldn’t swing like that for now.

I started with close to four thousand dollars but now I only have nine. If that. Three in the pocket.

And all I want to do is punch inanimate objects until my knuckles bleed and my head soars. And all I can do is sit in my corner in a room alone, with three people in the other room socializing and probably wondering why I’m brooding and ignoring them, one of them my fiancé who is probably worried I’m mad.

I can’t help that I am. I just need to be. I’m just angry, sad and hungry, with the last of the food before me and a full stomach. I feel like the world realizes the shithole I’m in and can’t help but remind me there are people in this world with more money than they know what to do with several hundred lifetimes over that could help but I can’t understand why they chose not to- and that to be one of them I just need to buy a lottery ticket. Then it reminds me I can’t even afford the fucking ticket.

I feel worthless. It’s as simple as that. I haven’t felt like this since the day I realized the weight of depression. I literally laid down on the floor and stared at the ceiling wishing on every fable I could that it could be a nightmare, or that God existed and would do just one thing to prove it, or that some kind of miracle would happen. Days like after my parents’ divorce planted a seed for the thorniest, withered vines that filled ever existing crevice in my life.

And I just hate everything right now.

No one could tell me I’m wrong. No one can say a damn thing right now that could put even the slightest smile on my cheeks tired from trying. What I need is money. And if I can’t have that, I need everything to stop existing for just a day.

Just one day.
